Bertie County Schools Host Special Olympics Games
The event was filled with laughter, cheers, and proud moments as student-athletes competed in races, throws, and other fun events. Families, staff, and volunteers lined the field, showing their support with high-fives, hugs, and loud applause.
“This day is all about celebrating our students’ strengths,” said Dr. Otis L. Smallwood, Superintendent of Bertie County Public Schools. “They gave it their all, and we couldn’t be prouder.”
From the opening lap to the final medal ceremony, the spirit of inclusion and joy was felt everywhere. Bertie County once again proved that every student is a champion.
