UPDATES FROM THE MEDIA CONFERENCE HELD BY GOV. ROY COOPER JULY 14, 2020:
School districts may operate on a specific hybrid plan (B), which implements both in-person and remote learning, OR districts may opt to do remote learning only (C).
In the upcoming school year, which is slated to begin August 17 for all schools, face coverings will be required for ALL students (K-12), staff and visitors during the school day.
All students (K-12), staff and visitors will be screened prior to entering a school or any school facility. (This includes temperature and symptom checklists.)
Governor Cooper extended the Phase 2 "Safer At Home" order through at least August 7 and encourages everyone, everywhere to wear face coverings, practice social distancing and practice proper handwashing techniques regularly.
