Speech
A child’s success in life depends on their ability to communicate effectively. This starts with basic skills, such as understanding routines, following oral directions, as well as, getting along socially with others. Communication problems take on many forms. Depending on the nature and severity of the disorder, remediation by a Speech/language Pathologist may be warranted. Our focus is on the individual needs of the child. Strategies may consist of direct individual or group therapy.
As communication professionals, the Bertie County Schools Speech/language Pathologists work together and across all grade levels to serve the communication needs of this county. Speech pathology services are provided to qualifying students in the areas of articulation, voice, language, aural rehabilitation, voice, and fluency.
