Exceptional Children Preschool Services

The Exceptional Children's Preschool classroom located at West Bertie Elementary School provides special education and related services for children with disabilities, as outlined by the child's Individual Education Program (IEP).

The services can be provided in a variety of settings, depending on the child's special educational needs. Many times, the services are provided in the child's natural setting, such as a home, in a daycare, or a preschool program. The Exceptional Children's Preschool program has a special education teacher, teacher assistants, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists who provide special education to children in these settings. If your child is eligible for these services, the type, frequency, and location of their special education services will be determined by the child's IEP team.
