Welcome to the Land of the Blue Jays!

I am Sylvia Walton, AES' School Guidance Counselor. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology/Social Work and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling. My belief is a good education can provide children with the opportunity to soar to new levels in future careers and enrich their lives. I believe investing in children is so very important.  We can not give up on all the potential they possess.  Some things I absolutely love are writing, spending time with family, travelling, reading, watching comedies, and helping/inspiring others.

One of my favorite quotes is by poet/ author, Maya Angelou. “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” I believe we have the power to impact children positively and help change lives.
