    Vision Statement

    Employees are Bertie County Schools' most valuable resource. The HR Department supports academic excellence with a key focus on high student achievement, ensuring highly effective teaching and maximizing efficient and effective operations to support school system goals. The vision of the HR Department is to provide a quality customer service experience, respond to the changing needs of the school system, and collaborate with all departments to create a high performing and diverse workforce.

    Mission Statement

    The Human Resources Department provides quality HR services to attract, develop, motivate, and retain a diverse workforce within a supportive work environment. We do this with an emphasis on customer service based on consultation and communication with Bertie County School community.

    The HR Department supports the mission and the vision of Bertie County Schools by providing efficient, effective, ethical services that contribute to the success of students and to past, present and future employees of the Bertie County School System. 

    The HR Department achieves its mission by recruiting, employing, retaining, and developing employees and by maximizing excellent employee relations through problem resolution, and the provision of efficient, cost-effective, customer-responsive human resource services.
