The grading policy has been set by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction for 9-11 and Seniors. There are two grading options for students in grades 9-11 for the end of the Spring semester due to Covid -19. You have the opportunity to choose if you would like to earn a PC-19 (which stands for passing Covid 19) if you are passing the class or the numerical grade.
If you choose to take the PC-19, you will earn a credit on your transcript and toward your graduation requirements, but you will not earn points toward your GPA.
If you choose to take your numeric grade, you will still earn a credit on your transcript and toward your graduation requirements, but you will also earn points toward your GPA.
Seniors' End of Semester Grading Policy is also listed below. Please refer to both of these documents to ensure that you and your student understand the grading policy that has been set by NCDPI. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please call to speak to one of the BHS administrators or guidance counselors at 794-3034.
