8th Grade English/Language Arts

I am the 8th grade English Language Arts teacher at Bertie Middle School. I am originally from Hertford County but currently reside in Bertie County. My hobbies include reading, dancing, singing, and spending time with my family. My favorites include the color green, the movie “Lottery Ticket,” the book “Why Did the Caged Bird Sing,” and the television show “Law and Order: SVU.” I am an avid pink lemonade drinker and love to eat steak, mashed potatoes, and banana pudding. My favorite subject is English Language Arts, and my sport is basketball. I love fall, and my favorite holiday is Christmas. I love parrots, and li love to visit any beach. 

I am an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and East Carolina University. I was an Elementary School Teacher for Edgecombe County Schools, a General Accounting and Public Information Officer for Halifax County Schools, a 4th/5th Grade English Language Arts/Social Studies Teacher for Bertie County Schools, and now an 8th Grade ELA Teacher for BMS.
